Dr. Rahman is a teacher, writer, researcher and educator, specialising in comparative literatures and language study. She has been teaching English for more than a decade, and has been associated in various capacities at different educational institutions including The University of Auckland, Massey University, and University of the Punjab, Lahore. Sabina’s research interests span from contemporary literature and cultural studies to digital literacies and teacher training.
She is especially interested in looking at the ways in which literature can influence, reflect and address many social and political issues of our age, such as gender roles, narrative perspective, dialogic thinking and thought leadership. Connecting literary studies with language teaching, Sabina also works on how the study of language itself is going through a constant transition which reflects the ever changing nature of communication in the human society. Sabina holds a PhD in English from The University of Auckland, New Zealand, and an MA and an MPhil from University of the Punjab, Lahore.
